“I have been a soldier, policeman and motorcycle instructor.
The Army gave me a BSA 350cc motorcycle as my personal transport. Then they let me roam the continent on it and enter various competitions on the bike. The Circuit de Pyrenees was interesting, I took the 350cc cup but then I was the only 350cc in the event. Life was fun.
On leaving the Army I joined the Police.
They gave me a BMW (800 and then 1100) and let me harass motorists. Life was even more fun.”
“I became involved in motorcycle training whilst in the police and on leaving help set up Anglia Rider Training in 1999. I have been instructing at various levels ever since. Currently I am a DAS and Post Test qualified instructor. I hold the RoSPA diploma in Advanced Motorcycle instruction and ride at the Gold level.
The youngsters having proved themselves more than capable of running the joint I can now ride for fun. In the last year I have been able to ride the ‘Taffy Dakar’ and ‘The Vince’. Google them and come and join us.“
